Privacy Policy

Overview

Listing Light helps real estate photographers find the best time to photograph a property based on sunlight direction. To do this, the app sends the address you enter to a geocoding service to determine the property’s coordinates. No personal information is collected, and no account is required to use the app.

Address lookups

When you enter a property address, that address string is sent to a geocoding API to identify the property’s geographic coordinates. This is the only data the app sends externally, and it is not linked to your identity or stored on our servers.

In New Jersey, parcel and road data is retrieved from NJGIN (the New Jersey Geographic Information Network), a public state database. For other states, publicly available mapping data is used. These are third-party services operated independently of MyHighTechLife; their own privacy policies govern how they handle requests.

Google Maps button

Listing Light includes an optional “Google Maps” button that is turned off by default and can be enabled in Settings. When enabled, tapping it opens Google Maps in your browser and shares the property address with Google LLC. That hand-off is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. The app does not use the Google Maps SDK and does not itself collect or store anything from this action.

What the app does not do

• Does not collect your name, email, or any identifying information
• Does not access your device’s GPS location – you enter the address manually
• Does not access your contacts, camera, photos, or microphone
• Does not use advertising or behavioral analytics
• Does not sell or share data with any third party for marketing purposes

Data storage

Properties you save, notes you add, and your settings are stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, this data syncs privately between your Apple devices through Apple’s iCloud infrastructure – we do not have access to it. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.

In-app purchases

All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information.

Children’s privacy

Listing Light is intended for real estate professionals and does not target children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date. The app’s App Store listing will also be updated.
